What it means
The Tepanecs were a Nahua-speaking people centred on Azcapotzalco. Their rulers dominated much of the Valley of Mexico in the fourteenth and early fifteenth centuries, before the Mexica and their allies defeated Azcapotzalco and built the Triple Alliance.
