Itzcoatl

Itzcoatl was tlatoani of Tenochtitlan from 1427 to 1440. With allies from Texcoco and Tlacopan, and with the counsel of Tlacaelel, he defeated the Tepanec power of Azcapotzalco and helped create the Aztec Triple Alliance.
