Charles III

Charles III has been King of the United Kingdom since 8 September 2022, after spending more than seventy years as heir to Queen Elizabeth II. Before his accession he was Prince of Wales, founder of the Prince's Trust, a long-standing advocate on climate, architecture and rural life, and a royal figure whose public views had to be reshaped into the constitutional restraint of kingship.
